Here’s what our humble henchman, Chris, is on the lookout for this month!

International Iron Man #1 (Bendis and Maleev) – Bendis and Maleev on any book is a great time, but one in which Stark and Doctor Doom are teaming up? I couldn’t be more excited.

X-Men ’92 #1 (Bowers, Sims and Firmansyah) – The Secret Wars miniseries of the same name was a really funny, charming treat. I’m not familiar with Firmansyah’s art, but Bowers and Sims have a great sense of humor and a clear love of the setting.

Adventures of Archer and Armstrong #1 (Roberts and Lafuente) – A welcome return of my favorite Valiant comic. New creative team, but I think Roberts and Lafuente seem to have a solid grasp on what makes these characters so interesting.

This is not necessarily a pick, but Marvel’s Infinity Entity #4: If your solicit says “ends with a very unforeseen twist” that makes it not unforeseen. That’s one of the reasons people don’t like M. Night Shyamalan’s movies anymore. (That said, Sixth Sense is amazing and Unbreakable is an underrated gem.)
Also, did anyone else read Scarlet Witch #1? I was really pleasantly surprised by it. Great moody art sets the tone for this intriguing book.
